Niclass Björlund, Advisory A&R
Niclass Björlund has a long and varied experience in the music industry in Sweden. He began in the music industry in the beginning of 80's on the creative side of the business as member of a recording and touring band in Europe.
Subsequently, he entered the publishing business when he joined AIR Music Scandinavia as a copyright and royalty manager.
Later, he joined the legendary publishing company, Polar Music founded by Stig "Stikkan" Andersson (ABBA's manager) where he worked as A&R manager, signing such Swedish Gold & Platinum songwriters/artists as: Thomas DiLeva, Olle Ljungström, Niklas Frisk (Atomic Swing), Plura (Eldkvarn) and Stefan Hellstrand.
By the mid-1990's he moved to the recording side and worked as General Manager of Mega Records, Home of "Ace of Base" in Sweden where he signed DeLeva, and Latin King among others, achieving Gold sales in Sweden many times over. He extended his experience into advertising, television and film music when he founded his own company for copyright clearing and licencing.
Niclass also has strong experience in the delivery of music online. He began in the role of head of marketing and sales for DX3 Scandinavia from 2000 to 2002. Today, Niclass is the CEO of Primesounds, the owner of the largest online sample library in the world.
